  Life is a pure flame,
and we live by an invisible sun
within us.

Interested in joining the Order of the Holy Flame? We're always welcoming to new members, but there are a few things that interested people should take into consideration:

  1. We are a mature guild. This doesn't mean that we're talking about pornography constantly; rather, it means that we expect people to be able to talk without constant use of "ur" or "lulz" or anything like that. We swear at times, and we make dirty jokes now and then, but we expect people to be literate and mature. Possession of a good sense of humor is another plus. Because of this, we have an informal rule that no one under 18 will be accepted.
  2. As a fairly obvious corollary to the rule above, we don't accept any racist, sexist or otherwise discriminatory talk in our chat channels. So if you want to do that kind of crap, go somewhere else. We tolerate everyone so long as they tolerate everyone else. This should go without saying, but there are always a few people who don't seem to get it.
  3. [FIRE] is a primarily PvE guild. While we understand and welcome those who are primarily interested in PvP, you should realize that it is not necessarily a motivating factor for other members. If someone wants to set up a PvP (or GvG etc) event, we'll happily put it on the homepage.
  4. We expect people to help each other. If someone's having some serious trouble with a mission or dungeon, we like guild members to hop in to help them. This isn't an out and out requirement, but if someone is absolutely avoiding helping guildmates, there might be a problem.
  5. Conversely, we also expect people to be able to play on their own. We're more than happy to help new players get things together, but we also expect people to function without guild help all the time. It's fun to do thing with guildmates, but if no one is available, don't complain about it! Most dungeons and missions can be done solo with henchmen and heros.
  6. [FIRE] is selective. We don't take everyone, and we don't do the standard "join now and be an officer!" schtick. Officers will be chosen based on merit and attitude; if someone is particularly helpful and active, they are more likely to be granted officer status.

Gotten through that wall of text? If you're still interested in joining Order of the Holy Flame or if you have questions that haven't been answered here, you can either email us at holyflamegw@gmail.com or contact one of the officers in game.
